    • Follow the instructions below to unbox and set up your SpeedTreater-TX.

    • Please call Equipment Zone with any setup and installation questions at 201-797-1504.

    • Upon receiving the SpeedTreater-TX, verify that the machine has not been damaged during shipping. Make sure that the box is free of signs of damage. Make sure to note any issues before signing for the shipment and report any issues to Equipment Zone immediately.

  2. Before taking the SpeedTreater-TX out of the box, locate a table at least 3 ft. x 4 ft. that can hold at least 200 pounds.

    • Lift it out of the box and place it on a table. This is a two-person job.

    • Make sure the power button is in the off (out) position.

    • Make sure the white arrow on the SPRAY CONTROL is set to 4.

    • Twist the EMERGENCY STOP button to the right to make sure it is disengaged.

  4. Next, install the handle on the front of the machine. Open the drawer at the front of the machine.

    • Secure the handle with a Phllips head screwdriver. You'll need to keep the nut from rotating in order to tighten it.

  7. Next, push the hose with the filter at the end into the port marked IN. Push the hose in until it won't go any further. Then, push the hose without a filter into the port marked OUT.

    • Put both the IN and OUT hoses into the same container of pretreatment.

    • Next, plug in your machine to a surge protector.

    • The SpeedTreater-TX uses 110V electric and requires approximately 5 amps. Use only grounded outlets.

  8. Use the knobs at the top of the machine to control the length of pretreat sprayed on the garment.

    • The machine sprays the area in between the knobs.

    • Loosen the knobs slightly, then slide them to the desired position on the ruler and retighten (Do not over tighten.)

  9. Push the ON/OFF button to turn on the machine.

    • The START button will start blinking. Press the START button once.

    • The SPRAY CONTROL determines the amount of pretreatment that will spray.

    • Turning it to the left means the spray valve will move slower and the garment will get more pretreatment.

    • Turning it to the right means the spray valve will move faster and the garment will get less pretreatment.

    • You'll have to experiment a bit to see exactly how much pretreatment to spray. Thicker garments generally require more pretreatment than thinner garments.

    • Now it's time to load pretreat into the machine. Double-check that the IN and OUT hoses on the back of the machine are in a bottle of pretreat.

    • Press the Purge button for about 10 seconds, until you hear pretreatment spraying. (It sounds different than when there is air in the lines.)

    • Always make sure there is liquid in the container when using the machine.

  10. Once the pretreat has been loaded, it's time to pretreat your first garment.

    • Open the drawer and put the garment on the shirt holder.

    • Tuck in the sleeves and other excess fabric.

    • It doesn't matter whether you load garments with the collar facing you or away from you -- just be consistent with how you load them.

    • Once the shirt is loaded, close the drawer.

    • Press the green START button to pretreat the garment.

    • The pretreater will sound the buzzer after the shirt has been sprayed. However, the nozzle will continue to move in order to return back to home position. Only open the drawer to remove the shirt after the buzzer has sounded.

    • If the drawer is opened while the machine is spraying the machine will stop. To resume spraying, the machine must be turned off and back on and the START button must be pressed once.

    • After you've removed your garment, dry it in a heat press or hang it to air dry as you would any other pretreated garment.
